Stingray RV Goes ‘Dutch’

Stingray RV have just opened a new base in Terborg, Holland which is just on the German border, in order to better serve their European hire clients, as well as increasing their RV sales into Europe.

Over the past 12 months, Simon Leith of Stingray RV has been working with Roy Bolks who has a small showroom in Terborg, and between them, they have sold and registered an additional 6 RVs in Germany and Holland. An agreement was reached between the two of them at the Cologne Motorsport Show in November where Stingray RV were exhibiting some American motorhomes to the European motorsport fraternity..

Simon Leith said, “I know 6 motorhomes doesn’t sound like a lot but we were just really dipping our toes in the water to see what the market was like. Roy has a great understanding of the European market and speaks 5 languages fluently, which makes communication that much easier. If you think about it, the new partnership has turned over €750,000 in its first year with no additional costs apart from some advertising. Roy and I are now formalising our business arrangements and will be pushing much harder into Europe in the coming months and years. More importantly, by having a base in Holland we can massively reduce delivery costs to all our rental clients to European race circuits.”

All the RVs sold were high end motorhomes and included a 2006 quad slide Fleetwood Revolution, a 2009 full wall triple slide Fleetwood Revolution, a 2008 full wall slide double slide Fleetwood Pace Arrow and a 2005 triple slide Monaco Diplomat.
